Postcard Video is an iPhone app for people who freeze in front of a camera. Chat about what you want to say and it writes you a script or a few points. They stay on a clipboard while you film, and it crosses off each line as you say it. Your picture is a little postage stamp, not a mirror, and you can pause any time.

How it works
- Chat about your video. Tell it what's on your mind, like you'd tell a friend. Add notes, photos or files with the + button. Ask for a script, or just a few points.
- It fills your clipboard. A full script or a short list, whichever you asked for. Change anything, add your own lines, cut the ones you don't like.
- Tap the big red button and talk. The clipboard stays in front of you. As you talk it crosses off each line you've said and scrolls along with you. Pause any time, and tap Done when the take is finished.
- Send your takes where you edit. Every take saves to your Photos with a transcript. Share sends the takes, transcripts and notes as one folder, ready to AirDrop to your Mac.
Why it helps if you freeze on camera
Freezing on camera usually comes from three things at once: not knowing what to say next, watching your own face, and feeling like one slip means starting over. Postcard takes all three off your plate.
- You always know the next line. Your script or points are right there, and the clipboard follows along as you talk, like a teleprompter that listens.
- Script or points, your choice. Word for word when you want it, a few points when you'd rather talk freely.
- You're not staring at yourself. Your picture is a small stamp in the corner. Tap it for full screen when you want to check how you look.
- Pause, don't restart. Lose your place? Pause, look at the clipboard, and carry on.

- Share: one folder with every take, its transcript, the chat and your clipboard

- Report a bug from inside the app, with a screen recording if you like
Private by default
Your videos stay on your phone, in your Photos. The app never uploads one. The chat only ever sees text, never your video or audio, and you can switch it off. No account, no ads, and no trackers in the app. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Not yet. It's in beta through TestFlight, Apple's app for trying new apps. Install TestFlight, then tap Join the free beta on this page from your iPhone.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone with iOS 26 or later. There's no Android or iPad version.
Will it write me a script?
Yes. Ask the chat for a script and it writes one onto your clipboard. Or ask for a few bullet points if you'd rather talk more freely. You can edit either one, or write your own.
Is it a teleprompter?
Kind of, a friendlier one. The clipboard shows your script or points while you film. It listens as you talk, crosses off each line as you say it and scrolls along with you, so you never lose your place. And you can pause whenever you need a breath.
Where do my videos go?
Every take is saved on your phone, in your Photos library. The app never uploads a video. The only way one leaves your phone is if you send it yourself.
Does it use AI?
The chat is Claude, an AI by Anthropic. It only sees text: what you type, your clipboard, the words in files you add and the words of your takes. Never the video or the audio. It only answers when you write to it, and you can turn it off in Settings.
Does it edit my video?
Not on the phone. Share sends your takes, their transcripts and your notes as one folder, ready to AirDrop to a Mac and edit in any editor, or with an AI helper.
Who makes it?
Adam Raabe, one person. He made it for himself because he gets shy on camera, and he reads every bug report and idea.
